Custom Order #18: Moz

Recently I was asked to create a custom trifold wallet featuring Morrissey. If you don't know who that is, you best educate yourself! Anyway, I was given an unholy number of images to work with....so I used them all. And I love how it turned out!

Custom Order #17: Blue Meanies

This was a fun one. I was commissioned to create a wallet for a member of the biker gang the Blue Meanies. I was given their official logo, slogan and a dancing, winged skeleton because, well, it's just cool. I made up the triple-skeleton image a la Grateful Dead for the inside of the wallet, and was able to match the font for the slogan with the font used on their logo. We're both pretty pleased with how it turned out.

Custom Order #16: Fitter Happier

I. Love. Radiohead. A friend of mine dug this image up online and thought it would make a PERFECT Radiohead trifold wallet. I almost wanted to keep the end result for myself...

Custom Order #15: The Crow

This wallet was commissioned, forcefully, by a friend whose wallet was, literally, falling apart at the seams. A wallet is officially no good when it starts dropping all of your stuff. ANYWAY. The dude is a big fan of The Crow and gave me the cover from his DVD to cut up for the wallet. Here's how it turned out:

Custom Order #14: Fly Fry, Fly!

So Futurama is awesome. We know this. So, it's not surprising that, since my shop was all out of Futurama-themed items, that I was contacted to create one! The result is one of my favorite wallets that I have ever made. The buyer asked me if I could come up with something purple and told me her favorite character was Fry. So I whipped out my purple duct tape, and clipped an awesome picture of Fry from one of my Futurama graphic novels. Ta-da!

Custom Order #13: Purple Argyle

I love argyle. I can't help it. In 6th grade you couldn't cleave me from my argyle sweater vest (whatever, I wish I STILL had it) and my current cell phone has an argyle theme. It's good stuff. So, naturally, it's inevitable that I would one day combine my love of argyle and my love of duct tape into one fancy concoction...and so I have!

With a few different color schemes up in my shop, I was contacted to specifically make an argyle trifold wallet, based on this design, but replacing the pink with purple. It was a pretty great idea. So I made it for her!

Custom Order #12: Ron Jeremy. Yes. THAT Ron Jeremy.

This might be one of the funniest wallets I've ever been asked to create, and I love it. My friend's boyfriend requested a simple, smaller duct tape wallet to replace his bulky, flashy hot pink one (not made by me). And he wanted Ron Jeremy on it. We opted for porn star stud Ron, rather than his fat, icky older self, and think it turned out at an extreme level of awesome.

Custom Order #11: Radiohead

Ok. This is hands down one of the COOLEST wallets I have EVER made. I wanted to keep it. My boyfriend wanted to keep it. Seriously. It almost came to fisticuffs. Luckily the dude who got it loved it...as he well should.

Not-Quite-Custom Order #10: Smurfs Purse

For one reason or another, I never seem to take pictures of the items that I make for myself. But apparently I had my thinkin' cap on back in August when I concocted this fun little purse. It's a prototype for a new, smaller, purse design that I hope to have in my shop soon. I carried it a LOT over the summer and got a lot of compliments on it, which is always nice.

Custom Order #9: Bunch of Dudes

Yet another custom order for a friend of mine! She handed me a bunch of old magazines and asked me to pick out photos of a bunch of her favorite male celebs (her favorites being JT and Rupert Grint) and put them on a wallet for her. Mission accomplished.

Not-Quite-Custom Order #8: Garbage Pail Kids "Antsy Nancy"

Anyone else out there remember the Garbage Pail Kids? I had a bunch of the oversized sticker cards as a kid (got them out of my 2nd grade teachers prize box!). Anyway, they still make some of the cards, which I picked up on impulse a few years back. I rediscovered them in my stash of stuff and thought they'd be PERFECT for some wallets. I was right.

This trifold wallet went to my sister, who has the same awesome taste as me (I carry a similarly colored mini version). Another mini wallet version, Max Wax, is available in the shop.

Custom Order #7: Smurfs!

This custom order request is one of my favorites because, well, SMURFS! When I was contacted about making this custom order, I did a little research and found that there had been a comic book series of the Smurfs from back in the early 80s. This particular issue dates back to 1982, which is even older than I am. I was also asked to include a change pocket (it snaps shut!) and because she told me that she had a Papa Smurf tattoo, I tried to make it all about the head smurf. Love how this turned out!

Custom Order #6: Superjail!

Back in July I was comissioned to create a wallet with images from the [adult swim] show Superjail! I was given the images to work with, and here's how it turned out!

Custom Order #5: The Flash (Comic)

The Flash was pretty popular last July. I had two custom requests for Flash wallets within the same week! This one features images of the Flash from Justice League #20, and there's a little bit of Wonder Woman in there for some extra awesomeness.

Custom Order #4: The Flash (Logo)

Back in the summer I received a request for a custom wallet featuring the logo for The Flash. Oddly enough I had made one featuring his logo before (and also one of Captain America's shield) for my boyfriend. The only difference this time around was that she wanted there to be the black line around the bolt and the circle. It was a little bit of a challenge, but I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out (and so was she!).

Not-Quite-Custom Order #3: Star Wars Purse

I love this purse. It didn't start out as a custom order, but it was purchased straight off of my floor before I ever had a chance to list it in my shop! But I am certainly not complaining. This bag is made of 100% duct tape (no paper, cardboard, fillers) so it holds its shape without being too stiff or unmanageable.

It also features the cover to the 1981 Marvel comics serial of The Empire Strikes Back, and, yes that is Darth Vader fighting Luke Skywalker right there on the front. Too freaking cool. If this piques your interest, please check out what other bags are in the shop or let me know if you're interested in a custom order.
